My name is Mamadou Aliou Diallo, and I am currently an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Having been born and raised in Guinea before coming to the U.S., I have had the opportunity to attend school in both nations, and I can tell, without a doubt, that the educational system in Guinea has many improvements to make. Living in the U.S. has provided me with the opportunity to a first-class education, a statement that most of our brothers and sisters back in Guinea will never be able claim. This fact only highlights the importance of the cause which The Guinean Alliance for Education and Development is dedicated to, and I am humbled and grateful to be a part of such a great organization. United through GAED, I am hoping that we can help our brothers and sisters back in Guinea with a better education and future by the will of the Almighty, and create a positive impact that could not be achieved individually.
